Accommodation options include; catered, self-catered and/or a mixture of both in rustic and authentic or lush and luxurious rooms.
If you are wanting to immerse yourselves into nature but like to really feel part pf the bush, than you can stay in National Park or private accommodation. All fits in the bush!
Cultural immersion & experiences
Connect deeply with local communities and experience the rich tapestry of African cultures. Working with many communities, our tours are designed to promote an understanding of their culture, language and diversity whilst exploring their unique yet simple working lives whilst supporting local economies. Visits to rural communities, townships and urban dwellings are all part of our goal.
Giving back and appreciating Africa's cultural richness is at the core of all we do. whether this is engaging in local communities, fundraising or providing donations of education and healthcare goods. To date, I have organised and coordinated over 250 kg of donations, which have been taken from the UK to rural South Africa and the townships of Gansbaai, for local communities to use. I aim to continue this mission and one day, want to set up my own charity to be able to make this happen on a much larger scale.
Over 500 veterinary items have already been sourced to take to the Pangolin Rescue Centre, Buhoma village, Uganda this September.
If you have any donations you would like to contribute or business links which you think we could benefit from, then please get in touch!
Marine conservation
Whether you have 'sea-legs' or not, you can join us on a magical marine trip with whales, turtles, sharks or snorkelling!
Working in collaboration with the fabulous 'White Shark Projects' in Gansbaai, you can take part in cage diving with bronze whaler sharks, or see the migratory residents Southern right whales, when they return to the area breed in August. You can also hop onboard their 'volunteer' programme and see the endangered African penguins at Betty's Bay.
You can see year round crocodile and hippo with SHAKABarker tours in St Lucia, or humpback whales with Advantage Tours & Charters, St Lucia when they visit their migratory breeding grounds in July. Or if the beach calls for you, you can watch the majestic leatherback and loggerhead turtles in Kosi Bay and Cape Vidal, between November-February.
Tailored group adventures
Whether you're planning a family holiday, a special interest group tour, or an academic programme, I can customise an itinerary to suit your specific needs and preferences.
As a fully qualified academic tutor/lecturer, I can organise a bespoke programme for your learners which covers your required learning objectives/module aims. I can also plan any research projects for you should you wish to experience real-life nature monitoring.
Working with well-established partners, I have recently launched our T-Level Animal Care & Management Industry Placement where your learners can collect 84 hours working in the wild and captive South African bush. Tailor-made to meet the needs of the T-Level Industry Placement model, this 12 day trip can contribute to the 315 hours needed for the two year course. The trip will be ran and guided by myself, so all T-Level paperwork can be appropriately completed.
